Lake Francis Case and Fort Randall Lake Francis Case

The Fort Randall Dam is located northwest of Lynch on the Lake Francis Case Missouri River system. It offers boating, camping and fishing opportunities with hydroelectric production.

Ashfall State Historical Park Ashfalls

Ashfall State Historical Park southeast of Lynch holds hundreds of prehistoric animal skeletal remains. Rhinos, three-toed horses, camels and other animals were buried around the edges of a watering hole over 10 million years ago by volcanic ash. These well-preserved skeletons of prehistoric beasts laid undisturbed, wrapped in a blanket of jagged glassy particles until the 1970s when scientific study of the remains began. Visitors can experience firsthand the process of unearthing these ancient treasures in the Rhino Barn.

Niobrara State Park State Park

Niobrara State Park, situated at the confluence of the Niobrara and Missouri Rivers 24 miles east of Lynch on Highway 12, offers visitors cabins, RV or tent camping, swimming, boat ramps, horseback trails, paddle boats, hiking, fishing and a walking trail.

Spencer Dam Spencer Dam

The Spencer Dam is located west and south of Lynch and produces electricity, fishing and camping.

Fort Randall Casino Casino

The Fort Randall Casino is located 28 miles west and north of Lynch and has a full service hotel included inside the casino. Live entertainment is provided daily.

Northeast Nebraska Zoo Zoo

The Northeast Nebraska Zoo southeast of Lynch near Royal, Neb., features over five acres of family enjoyment. There are many varieties of animals including mountain lions, deer, endangered brown lemur, miniature horses, pygmy goats, carnivores, monkeys and a living specimen from the past — the Przewalski's horses, ancestor of modern domestic horses.

Golf Golf

There are three golf courses within easy driving distance of Lynch: Niobrara, Butte and Pickstown, SD, (near the Fort Randall Dam).
